Santa is our friend.

Well, Rick seems to have stirred up a bunch of controversy over this Santa thing.  Nice going, honey! Drunk.

Anyway, I think his point for this entry was to vent his frustration about feeling judged for not pushing Santa on our kids.  We (or at least I think "we"...I anyway) do not judge others for believing in Santa at their house.  This was just an explanation of why it is the way it is at our house and our thinking behind it.  Nobody needs to buy into our philosophy, get offended, or even change their minds.  It's OUR philosophy, and we could be just as much wrong as we think we are right.  But for now it is working in our home, and we are always continuing to learn as parents what is best for our kids.

Kudos to all those parents in the same endeavor!  God is blessing you for you hearts' motives and not your mistakes.

Loving everyone this season!

You know what's funny? I check your blog daily to see if there are any new posts and every day since the 22nd, I have consistently had to do a double take on the title of this post. Every time I see it, my mind reads:
"Satan is our friend."

I have to laugh b/c it reminds me of the old Church Lady skits in the 90's with Dana Carvey wondering who Santa really was. MMMM, Satan?

Just funny in light of the recent discussion. Teehee.
