Sharing a crib...I mean, room

sharingcrib.jpgThis is what happens when you try to put two boys down in the same room for a nap.  Now that Caleb is over six months old, I've started putting him in the crib in Brennan's room.  We moved Brennan up to a twin bed.  Anyway, for the first time yesterday they both needed a nap at the same time.  I was not sure how this was going to work since Caleb still crys himself to sleep.  Well, I put them both down in respective beds and left the room with Caleb crying of course.  After about ten minutes though, it was quiet.  Ten minutes is much shorter than he normally cries.  So I tiptoed up the stairs and peeked into their room.  Instead of finding two sleeping boys, I found Brennan in Caleb's crib playing and making Caleb happy.  As frustrating as that was that Brennan did not stay in his own bed, it was one of the cutest and sweetest things I've ever seen.  So unknowingly to them, I snapped a pic.

After a couple more visits upstairs to put Brennan back in his own bed, they both finally went to sleep...and for about an hour and a half!  Praise God!

What an awesome big brother Cabel has! Yes its frustrating I am sure -- but its true love in motion and at such a tender age :) Prayerful there will be more moments like these vs. the fighting that goes on between siblings. Thanks for sharing!

Rock, you need to blog about your transition phase. Shed some light and bare your soul, bruthah.
