Ode to Vomit

We went off to Big Bear to take our first break

For our time off we traveled this beautiful lake

The night 'fore our trip, children woke in the night

And what flew from their mouths was quite a shrill fright

Every hour someone threw up the previous day's lunch

This continued the next day, vomiting a whole bunch

While our vacation unveiled mountain beauty

All of our stomachs endured quite a doosy

The day we returned, the wretching had quit

But now daddy's stomach was turning a bit

At least we were thankful for the short time away

Even if we could have enjoyed it in much better ways

Happy to hear that you able to get away -- wish you were all feeling better so you could have truly enjoyed the time away. Seems to me, when your family goes away they get a bit quesy. Didn't you all get sick (or at least the little ones) when you all went to San Diego while your dad was here? Hummmm -- sad maybe you are to stay home -- nope -- keep trying cuz we all need a break from our day-in-day-out routines.
Love the poem!
