Invest in a vacation!

Once Rick heard a Christian speaker say that if there is something worth going into debt for, it is a vacation. Even more so than car.  A new car will quickly lose it's newness, but the memories and lasting effects of a vacation will not fade away.

I say, "so true!"  Going away to Northern California was one of the biggest blessings of our marriage.  It was like rediscovering each other all over again.  We laughed, talked, explored, relaxed, and yada yada yada, and we returned so in love and so refreshed.  You know if you come back from a vacation ready to jump back into things, that you have truly been restored.  We are going to make vacation by ourselves a priority now.  We don't want to have to wait five years again.

Thank you, Nana and Nancy for watching all the kids.  They had a blast as well!  Nana Camp 2006 was a huge success.  And you blessed us in a way that can not be adequately expressed.

Below is a pic of Rick and myself in Napa Valley.  It is almost crush time, so grapes were hanging from the vines...beautiful!  The second pic is the area near Mendocino where we stayed at our lodge.  We would higly recommend it...Stevenswood Lodge.
