Back in the swing of things

It has been almost three years since I have swung a golf club...until yesterday.  green.JPGFor Father's Day, I got my dad and Rick a round of golf at Lost Canyons Golf Club in Simi Valley, CA.  We had some dear friends, Keith and Kim Brooks and family, watch the kids for us.  (thanks so much, guys!)  Well, after a dry spell of golfing, I was very surprised to see that I had not forgotten too much of the game.  Even though I did lose 7 balls, I found my swing and even it improved it some, scored a par (and nearly a second one), got treated like royalty at the pro-grade golf club, and just had a blast with my hubby and daddy.  Rick is already an excellent golfer and my dad's not bad either, so I'm definitely the one that has some work to do.  But that is the beautiful thing about golf: it is work and rest at the same time...crazy and so worth it!  Here are some pics of the great day:

Enjoy!  Love, Melissa

Hey Mel! Man, Zach would love it if I was into golf. Sounds like you had a good time. Just checkin' in on you guys. Hopefully, we'll be able to start coming back to church soon - once we get our heads on straight again (if that ever happens after you have kids).
